Orio, a fisherman was out to sea one day and saves a beautiful mermaid from his nets, Melusina. They spent everyday together except Saturday, per the mermaids request. Orio fell madly in love and honored her request for years. He asked to marry her and she agreed, walked out of the sea and her fins magically turned to legs. In their marriage they had three children and lived like this for years, never seeing eachother on Saturdays.

Sadly, Melusina became very ill and passed. Distraught but determined to live on for her children Orio continued his fishermans routine his children still well kept. One Saturday Orio was finished early on his fishing boat, came home early and found a monstrous snake in his kitchen by the sink. He slaughtered the snake. Then as days passed the kids and house were disheveled, and he realized Melusina was the snake! His heart sank knowing the tragedy but lived on for his children with the memory of his love.
